Professional Certification onset of sharing my story

For many years that I have been invited to participate at GCC Accounting Conference, I still felt nervous when I present. There are times I felt I am well rehearsed and yet I still missed important topics. What's my story - how did I get the certifications behind my name. It is all about persistence and determination " Let that exam give up on you and have the courage to sit on a four hour exam. That's what it take. But for me my main motivation is when my previous bosses overlooked me from promotions and salary increase. That is when I am tasked to train a newly graduate accountant and but passed the CPA without experience. Part of my ego is that what else is missing if I can do the job and yet I can't get the credit just because I don't have anything after my name. In the world the continuous evolving, you have to remain competitive and specialized in your field thus you don't want to be behind and be able to climbed the ladder because along the way your earned it.

One thing rewarding about this presentation is that after overcoming the fear of presenting that Friday and had a lunch with my family on a Sunday, two of the restaurant server approached me. They asked for my name and mentioned they were present during my presentation. They claimed to be very inspired about my story. Such a heartwarming comment. Maybe one day, I'd fullfill that dream of becoming an inspirational speaker that is one day at a time...
